It's August and spring next month-where has the year gone
- It's a great Funday Sunday Meatpack this Sunday 10th August. To raise money for Cure Kids Bronwyn Gower and the team have a huge auction table from Colour Tele, Electrical goods and great miscellaneous for those who miss the big items. Up for grabs are also signed shirts from Lydia Ko and the NZ 7's team. The start sheet is in the Office. there are about 8 places remaining. Shotgun Start 11.00am Sun.
- We are pleased to announce a new initiative designed to support Omanu’s Elite Golfers. We have set up a Trust Fund which resides within NZ Golf but will be administered by the Omanu Board. The idea is to provide funding for tournament play and other expenses such as clothing and travel. The definition of an Elite Golfer would be someone who currently is or has the potential to play for NZ.
- Funding for the Trust will come from various sources including sponsorship, donations, grants and/or fund raising events and we are pleased to announce the first recipient will be Alanna Campbell. Alanna is currently the Bay No 1 , recently won this weekends BOP Open, the Junior Masters in Victoria and was selected to play in the U19 NZ team
- In partnership with Golf Fit we have provided Alanna with Omanu branded clothing package and whenever possible Alanna will play as a representative of Omanu. This is a significant marketing opportunity which we are rapt to be a part of.
- We definitely need your support, whether it be to buy a raffle, play in an event, donate or sponsor. If you would like to be involved or need more information please call in to the Office or talk to any Board Member.
