Awesome April

It’s Top Dog time again!!

Before I get onto Top Dog though, I would firstly like to thank the organisers of the Wednesday bus trip we made to Putararu, it really was a great trip and very well organised, some may have better memories of it than others (who might not remember much at all)

If you are a Wednesday player and haven’t had a chance to go on one of these trips, I highly recommend it, it was my first and won’t be my last…well done to those involved.

Onto Top Dog…

That’s right folks it’s once again time to line up with your partner and try and win what has to be one of, if not the, most difficult competitions of our golfing year (yes that’s right I am one of the defending champs)

As some of you may know I recently fell off my high horse…well it threw me off actually…but despite that and the horrific injuries sustained, I will be there on Saturday 12th to enter this most auspicious competition. I hope that so will most of you. If however you can’t, then please make sure you don’t mistakenly tick the Top Dog part when you are getting your cards, it makes sorting it all out a nightmare.

For those intending to enter, don’t forget it is a six week tournament, so make sure before you enter that you are available for all six weeks

There are some new members who don’t have partners so if you don’t, or know of someone who doesn’t, have a partner, then please inform the starters on Sat morning so we can try and pair all those who want to play.

Just on the subject of starters, thanks to those of you who have volunteered so far, however we are still looking for more starters, so if you haven’t had a chance to do starting yet, please let either Peter Mckinnon, Cyril Turner or Jordan Golding know and they can add you to the list.

After the qualifying round for Top Dog, there is a two week break because of Easter before the match play competition starts. Hopefully the course will be back to its’ finest after coring by then, this bit of rain we’re having should help.

Have a great Easter

Alastair Reed, Men’s Captain.

If you watch a game, it's fun. If you play it, it's recreation. If you work at it, it's golf.
