Omanu Golf

We've had some great golfers compete and win the Amateur Classic, including the best amateur golfer in the world in 2008/2009, our winner for 2007 Danny Lee. Phil Tataurangi won here in 1992 and other notables include double winner Brad Shilton and Troy Ropiha. We've also had 2 x 3 time winners in R Sayer and B Shilton. Our records go back to 1977

Who holds them? What kind of rounds have been shot at Omanu? What do you have to aim at to become the reigning holder of our course record?

Age shall not weary them, nor the years forget... it could have been a mantra for older golfers. For starters you can't go breaking your age at golf until you're at least 60, some would say more like 70, (not many golfers having broken 60 at any age) We have a few very skilled older golfers, look at some of these scores!!! Would be proud to own one of them now, let alone when I'm their age...

From the most recent to the first we've recorded, here they are, the lucky (HAH!!! highly skilled) golfers who've had the thrill of a hole in one, and the joys of shouting the clubhouse. The records that are listed are from 1998 to the present day, records prior to 1998 didn't have the hole number entered and so were left out as they were of no use when doing calculations on average holes in one etc.
