Strokeplay Winners 2010
Our Strokeplay Champions for 2010 were decided over the last couple of weeks and congratulations must go out to the winners and the runners up in all categories.
We'd also like to thank all club members who took part, it's these types of competitions that will give you an idea of where your game is and what you can do to improve your play on a week in and week out basis.

Club Meeting
A meeting for Omanu Club members has been scheduled for 6:00pm on Monday, 26th April.
The meeting will be held at the Omanu Golf Club rooms on Matapihi Road and all members are not only welcome but urged to attend. You can't have your say on the issues that are covered if you don't attend.

Final Date for Subs
All members of Omanu Golf Club please take note: the FINAL date for payment of subs is Wednesday 31st March
If you would like to set up a payment schedule, please contact or see either Barry or Wai in the office. The penalty for non-payment of subs is suspension of both your handicap and club membership.

Strokeplay Change
Due to the Pennant Competition clashing with the Men's Strokeplay Champs the three rounds of the Strokeplay champs will now be played in April on consecutive weekends/Saturdays as follows:
1st round - Sat, April 10th
2nd round - Sat, 17th
3rd/Final round - Sat, 24th April
The Omanu website Calendar will be updated to reflect those changes. If there are any further changes/updates to this schedule those changes will be posted here on the website and around the club

Site Attacked - UPDATES!!!
As mentioned below, the site has been under continued attack by spam bots. Pretty harmless, just a pain in the nether regions. The registration process has been updated to now include a captcha function which should alleviate the problem and no longer require administrative approval for new members of the site.

Fairway Survey
Summer Survey 2009
The board has chosen to trial summer grass species due to the risk of the long term sustainability of the Poa (our current predominant fairway grass) Poa is susceptible to the summer disease Melt and the maintenance cost, availability of and resistance to fungicides in the future may force change on the Club.
